A Bit About My Journey so far

​

Hi, I'm Sammy, Creator of Spirit Rising! 

​

A bit about me.

My connection with Tarot and Oracle began when I was a young teenager. At age fourteen, my mother gifted me my  first Oracle deck and I discovered the world of divination and soul work. It was the 90's so there was no internet, just what we happened to cross paths with. 

During high school, I completed my work experience at a local metaphysical bookstore, spending my days surrounded by shelves of mystical books and beautiful decks.  I was so drawn to everything I saw.

I come from a family of artists and musicians, and creativity has always been part of my soul. In my teens and twenties, my life was filled with art, music, travel, creativity and a deep desire to learn and explore new things.

I was also a budding musician at this time and I pursued my passion for music. For years performing in bands and at festivals along Australia’s East Coast.

Through it all, I remained connected to spirituality — practicing yoga, meditation, and visualization for most of my life.

It wasn’t until later that Tarot called me back in a powerful way. It’s funny how the right things return to us when we need them most.

Since then, I’ve spent years studying the language and symbology of Tarot — a lifelong pursuit that continues to unfold.

My work is grounded in personal growth, soul exploration, and empowerment, shaped by my own experiences of challenge, healing, and transformation.

Through my own dark night of the soul and moments of profound awakening and change, I’ve learned that healing is an essential part of our journey.

I believe Tarot is such a powerful tool for healing and self discovery — one that helps us identify blockages, shift our focus, and walk towards our highest good.

My intention with Spirit rising is to inspire, empower, and gently guide others through life’s challenges.
