A Bit About My Journey so far
Hi, I'm Sammy, Creator of Spirit Rising!
A bit about me.
My connection with Tarot and Oracle began when I was a young teenager. At age fourteen, my mother gifted me my very first Oracle deck and I discovered the world of divination and inner soul work.
During high school, I completed my work experience at a local metaphysical bookstore, spending my days surrounded by shelves of mystical books and beautiful decks. I was endlessly curious and drawn to this world of spirituality and soul seeking.
I come from a family of artists and musicians, and creativity has always been part of my soul. In my teens and twenties, my life was filled with art, music, travel, and a deep desire to learn and explore new things.
Around this time I was also a budding musician and I followed my passion for music. For years performing in bands and at festivals along Australia’s East Coast.
Through it all, I remained connected to spirituality — practicing yoga, meditation, and visualization for most of my life. But it wasn’t until later that Tarot called me back in a powerful way. It’s funny how the right things return to us when we need them most.
Since then, I’ve spent years studying the language and symbology of Tarot — a lifelong pursuit that continues to unfold.
My work is grounded in personal growth, soul exploration, and empowerment, shaped by my own experiences of challenge, healing, and transformation.
Through my own dark night of the soul and moments of profound awakening and change, I’ve learned that healing is an essential part of our journey.
Without it, we remain stuck in the energy of the past.
With it, we open the door to freedom, renewal and inner peace.
I believe Tarot is a powerful tool for healing and awakening — one that helps us identify blockages, shift our energy, and move toward our highest good.
My intention is to inspire, empower, and guide others through life’s challenges, helping you step fully into your power and become who you are truly meant to be.
